PACS Project

Project Objectives

1. Empowerment of poor holistically by forming functional community groups
2. Building capacity of formal groups
3. Empowering panchayati raj institutions and linking community groups with PRIs and other local level government institutions

Activities

1. Capacity building of women self help groups
2. Village level monthly meetings of WSHGs and training
3. Exposure visits of WSHG members/representatives
4. Monthly meeting of youth groups
5. Training of leaders of farmer groups
6. Monthly meetings of farmer groups
7. Training of landless labourers on gainful vocations
8. Policy advocacy on land rights

The project seeks to change mentality and behaviour of different segments of the village and help them to come out of their shells. Towards this end, the project workers regularly visit the field for monitoring the project activities and also take up organisational development activities.
